We could start this section by telling you all the stuff you’re expecting to see…
We’re qualified, we’re FCA regulated, we deliver good customer service
But, frankly, isn’t that what you’d expect from a financial services business? And, isn’t that what they all say?
So, how could you possibly know if we are what you’re looking for, if we all sound the same?
We’ll start by telling you we’ve been doing this for a long time – since 2007 in fact. Doesn’t that just mean we’re a bit dyed in the wool? It could do, but we like to think it means we’ve earned our spurs. And our clients back that up with some lovely testimonials.
You probably want a financial adviser who you can understand. Not somebody who is going to blind you with all those super complex financial terms – but talk to you in layman’s terms.
Meet the team
Nick has a Batchelor of Education degree, and wanted to be a PE teacher when he left school. He played National League basketball for Camden, Chiltern and Chessington Wildcats.
Nick’s change of career started in 1984, when he worked for Legal and General, where he became a fully qualified Financial Adviser.
He founded Copthorne Financial Services in January 2007. Nick is very passionate about client delivery – focusing on what clients really need to live their best lives.
Outside of work, Nick is a keen golfer, and enjoys watching sports too, particularly football, rugby and cricket. He is married and has two young children – Laura and Harry.

Russell is our fully qualified mortgage expert, and particularly enjoys a challenge – he says he is very rarely stumped! He has even arranged finance on a Dutch narrow boat.
He joined the profession in 1988, when he started working for Prudential.
Russell has a growing family he enjoys spending time with, as well as walking his chocolate Labrador – although not in the rain!
Russell is also a golfer, though he maintains his swing needs some improvement, and he likes watching sport, particularly his football team – Chelsea.
Karen has worked in the financial services sector since 2007, and joined us in 2014.
Her role is admin focused, with a bias towards accounts, working with the accountants, and also preparing data for FCA reporting.
Karen is married with a son and daughter, both of whom also work in finance. She loves spending time with her family, and walking her daughter’s French Bulldog.
She enjoys visiting the theatre and cinema, reading and watching dramas on TV. She is also a huge tennis fan; and is glued when Wimbledon is on.
Dan joined us in October 2019, and would like to become a qualified financial adviser. He is keen to focus on mortgages, protection and Wills.
He is always inspired by the opportunity to help clients get the best out of their lives, as well as protecting their families.
Dan enjoys spending time with his partner and young daughter.
He likes to play football, as well as watching it.

We like to start by talking to you about you want from your life, and how hard your money will need to work to take care of you and your family – both now and in the future.
If you’re up for being a bit more adventurous, we’ll introduce you to our sister company – Copthorne LifePlan – a very different approach, but we’ll leave that for another day.
Your relationship with us is precious. We want you to enjoy meeting us, and see us as a trusted friend – after all, we want to look after your whole family, now and into the future.
Whatever stage you are at in your life – running your own business with all the challenges that brings, bringing up a family, or close to retirement age – we can support you, to live your very best life.
Need help with updating your Will, or setting up a Trust or Lasting Power of Attorney?
Maybe you need some support with handling probate? Or you have a loved one faced with long term care?
We can help.
Instead of building dreams, we want you to build memories. We’ll help you to turn your dreams into reality.
Create that bucket list, and let’s talk about how you can start ticking off your list…
